Used in Flower Arrangements

Foliage plants are bred for their attractive foliage and/or flowers. The ornamental greenery we use looks great in our tropical flower bundles and miniature arrangements.

 

Song of India

(Dracaena reflexa)

Song of India is another beautiful plant with closely arranged, narrow, leathery leaves that have wide margins of golden yellow and green centers.


Cut, last a week or more. Great as ground cover in medium to large arrangements. Can stand alone in a planter so you can use it the office, or let it brighten your home with its exciting, colorful foliage, it prefers a well lighted area.  $1.00 - $2.00 ea. 


 

Song of Bangkok

(Pleomele reflexa)

It bears rosettes of narrow, leathery, shiny and deep green leaves. These plants will survive in artificial light if the lighting is bright. The cut pieces can be planted in sand or loose soil but, generally, stem cuttings produce better and shapelier plants


Cut, Song of Bangkok will last a week or more and might even sprout if in water. These plants make excellent green filler for large bouquets and medium-size arrangements. $1.00 - $2.00 ea.

Another common name is Golden Screw-Pine. They make great landscape specimens and are very good container plants. They are very hardy in Sun or Shade, flooding or drought. Slow grower, but can be sped up with fertilizer and moisture.


Cut, this exotic foliage will a week or more. Red over most of bract to yellow. Great for small to very large flower arrangements. Also, we used the smaller, shorter leaves in our miniature arrangements.  FREE with purchase
